What changed

NowHe started work with a contractor the very next day, and the power came back on at home.
Vasilis’s story
Vasilis used to sit on the pavement outside the gym where Sokratis trains. Every time Sokratis passed, they got talking. A man of rare depth of heart and knowledge: Sokratis wanted to hear his story, because he felt Vasilis still had a lot to give.
For most of his life he worked as a logistics manager in a car dealership’s warehouse. There had been no electricity in his home for two years. Without a fridge, food would not keep: he ate whatever the team brought him, and spent less than €100 a week. When someone gave €200 for him, Vasilis said it was far too much: €50 would see him through the week.
When he told Sokratis he is good with his hands, Sokratis called a contractor he had worked with himself that same afternoon. The next morning he went to Vasilis’s home and drove him to his new job. With help from people who stood by, the power came back on too.
“Tell me honestly, how do you feel?” “It couldn’t be better.”
“I love you, brother.”
Work with a contractor, through Sokratis’s network in construction. On the first day he drove him there himself.
