Adam’s story
One night in the centre of Athens, Sokratis met Adam and his family, who were living on the street. He first asked Adam’s wife whether Adam would like to work with his hands, because that is where he can really help. Her face lit up and she got up to call him, so they could all talk it over together.
Adam thanked him warmly. He had no phone on him, so Sokratis wrote his name and number on a piece of paper: Adam was to call the next day, and Sokratis would put him in touch with contractors who would give him work.
And a message for everyone who watches the videos: you don’t have to do it all. “Take a sandwich, give a smile.” A little company and a chat count.
What happened next is in part two: story #3.
An offer of work in construction, through Sokratis’s network.
